Elemica Named 2019 Logistics Brief MVP Award Winner
Elemica Article on Logistics and Product Quality Wins First Place
Wayne, PA – December 4, 2019 – Elemica, the leading cloud-based Digital Supply Network for global manufacturing industries, was named a 2019 Logistics Brief MVP Award winner for the thought-leadership editorial, “Why Logistics and Product Quality Scorecards Should Be One and the Same.”
Winners are selected by readers of Logistics Brief, social media inputs, and an awards committee. These awards recognize the Most Valuable Posts submitted by industry thought leaders that provide the highest value to industry professionals – useful and actionable information, that is tactical or strategic in nature, providing either long-term or short-term value. Elemica’s submission by David Cahn, Director Global Marketing, Elemica, won 1st place in the 2019 Logistics Brief MVP Awards Other category.
“Why Logistics and Product Quality Scorecards Should Be One and the Same,” appeared in Talking Logistics and discusses how companies should extend their current KPI logistics measurements to incorporate product quality measures to add value to the supply chain. New measurements such as the Cost of Poor Quality can help businesses understand the cost of scrap, rework, defects, etc.
“Adding quality product measurements to your logistics scorecard criteria allows you to include Certificate of Analysis (CoA) information that adds the characteristics and performance criteria of the product on the truck,” asks Cahn. “You would be able to monitor whether the characteristics of the product have changed because of the logistics and handling of the product.”
Articles were submitted for a variety of categories, including trucking, technology and distribution. A panel of judges narrowed down the submissions to a list of finalists for each category, then voting was opened to readers under Nov. 25th. The full list of winners, announced today, can be found here:
