Elemica was founded by supply chain operators who understood the real challenges of connecting partners. In 2000, leaders from BASF, Dow, DuPont, Rohm & Haas, Shell, and others recognized the limits of fragmented, point-to-point systems and joined together to create a Digital Trading Partner Network. Their goal was simple but ambitious: enable secure, multi-party connectivity that would transform how industries collaborate.
That operator-led mindset has shaped us ever since. What began as a chemical industry initiative has grown into a global supply chain network that connects tens of thousands of partners across markets. The work started by those early pioneers continues today through teams who bring firsthand experience from logistics, procurement, customer operations, and manufacturing.
